Biosecurity Summit

Dates

8 – 11 September 2026

Location

Near Washington, DC

The inaugural Biosecurity Summit brings together ~150 leaders and professionals working to prevent, detect, and respond to global catastrophic biological risks (GCBRs). Over three days, we'll deepen the field's relationships, sharpen its direction, and turn conversation into concrete action.

The programme includes workshops by field leaders, memo discussions, and 1:1s, alongside shared meals, on-site accommodation, and time for more serendipitous conversations.

What we're trying to accomplish

01

Build high-trust relationships

We're bringing the most important GCBR-focused people into one room and creating the conditions for the candid conversations that are hard to have anywhere else.

02

Sharpen the field's direction

A huge influx of capital is about to reach the field, making this the moment to align. We'll strategise, share context on prioritisation and execution, identify collaboration opportunities, and support each other to be more ambitious.

03

Turn conversation into action

We want the programming to focus on outcomes. Attendees leave with specific next steps — new collaborations to pursue, decisions made, and clearer priorities for the months ahead.
